With the invitation of the Faculty of Law of the “Aristotle” University of Thessaloniki, Assistant Prof. Faton Shabani on April 16, 2019, in front of the students of the “Aristotle” University, held a lecture on: “Foreign Direct Investment in the Republic of North Macedonia”. At the beginning of the presentation, Professor Shabani presented the reasons that favor foreign investment in North Macedonia, relying mainly on macroeconomic stability, the financial system, developing infrastructure, foreign trade, free trade agreements, the market and labor power.
According to the Assistant Prof. Faton Shabani, another important element that successfully serves in attracting foreign investment is the creation of so-called free economic zones, which offer serious benefits to foreign investors who are interested in investing in North Macedonia. At the end of the lecture, Assistant Prof. Faton Shabani, shed light on the expectations, which based on the data provided by the National Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, are rightly positive about the future of North Macedonia, as a result of approaching the European Union and NATO.
After the end of the lecture, Assistant Prof. Faton Shabani, along with Prof. Dr. Panayotis Glavinis and Alexis Athanassopoulos (a member of the board of directors of the Vardax company) were part of the discussion panel, responding to the questions and high interest of the students regarding the investment climate in their northern neighbor. Assistant Prof. Faton Shabani, has conducted professional-scientific lectures in the past as well in prestigious universities from the region and international arena.
