Students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tetova, on February 18, 2019, organized a seminar in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia – Parliamentary Institute, on the topic: “Parliament (Assembly) as a fundamental institution of parliamentary law”.
Participants in this seminar were students of law, journalism, political science and criminology, accompanied by the professor of Constitutional-Administrative Law, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
Initially, they were received in a meeting by the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, who informed them on the role of the Assembly as a fundamental institution of the judicial system, interrelation to other institutions and some of the main challenges and priorities of the work of the Assembly he leads.
Among other things, many issues were discussed regarding the functioning of the Assembly, the role of parliamentary groups, parliamentary committees, the challenges of the parliamentary majority and others. The students also visited some of the main halls of the Assembly and the hall where the sessions take place.
Afterwards, the students participated in the seminar work that took place at the parliamentary institute, in which several topics were discussed: parliamentary history of Macedonia, the organization and functioning of the Assembly, the legal position of the deputies and the fundamental functions of the Parliament and the procedure of passing of laws.
During the seminar, the students of the University of Tetova were very active by showing their communication, organizational and professional skills.
