At the University of Tetova, in the presence of deans, professors and students, was held the First Seminar of the Psychology Days with the motto “Mental health begins with you! Let’s discuss it together!” The seminar was declared opened by the Head of the study program of Psychology, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Murtezani, according to whom the study program of Psychology should prove that it is a trend of modern science, which is based on the treatment of mental health. “The main idea of this seminar is to bring the science of psychology closer to the community, society, family and other people who need professional help in various things. We as a study program, by analyzing the workshops that will take place, we will achieve something interesting, we will prove how we can help the family, how we can help our children and parents. If a person in a family has problems, whether a child or a family member, and we help them to overcome them through therapies, conversations or interviews, we have helped the whole family”- said Prof. Dr. Lulzim Murtezani.
The seminar continued with various presentations by our University lecturers, as the Asst. Prof. Dr. Luljeta Bexheti, who presented the topic “Studies on mental health at European level”, afterwards Dr. Sc. Sheruze Osmani Ballazhi with the topic “Presentations of HBSC Research Results in Macedonia”, and at the end Prof. Dr. Hana Saliu presented the topic “Views on Mental Health of High School Students”, attached with a video, where through interviews with high school students discussed mental health problems.
After the presentations, psychologists Mirjana Jovanovska Stojanovska, Nadica Kostovska and Valmire Adili held workshops with students, students and parents, where they discussed about the mental health and methods that help to solve relevant problems.
