The delegation of the University of Tetova, led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, participated in the anniversary of the Magna Charta Universitatum, which was held in London from 11–13 November 2025.

The anniversary of the Magna Charta Universitatum is an important international event in the field of higher education, where university leaders, academics, and experts from around the world participate.

The main theme of the conference was: “What are universities for? Higher education principles, values and responsibilities in a fragmented world”. This year, the debate focused on the role of universities in promoting academic freedom, institutional autonomy, innovation, and social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation at a time when the world faces complex challenges.

During the conference, the delegation of the University of Tetova had the opportunity to become acquainted with international best practices in higher education, exchange ideas with representatives of prestigious universities, and strengthen cooperation in joint projects and initiatives.

In addition to participating in the conference, the UT delegation carried out an official visit to the University of Cambridge, where they discussed possibilities for academic exchanges, collaboration in scientific research, and the development of international programs.

The University of Tetova continues to remain an active part of international higher education networks and to uphold the values represented by the Magna Charta Universitatum 2020.
