At the University of Tetova was promoted the scientific work “Lëvizja Revolucionare-Kombëtare Shqiptare dhe Maqedonase në rrjetet e diplomacisë sovjetike (1922–1928)” – “The Albanian and Macedonian National-Revolutionary Movement within Soviet Diplomatic Networks (1922–1928)” by the author Mehmet Prishtina, a study that addresses political and diplomatic developments in the Balkans during the period between the two World Wars.

Mehmet Prishtina was initially received by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Jusuf Zejneli, who expressed his most sincere congratulations on the publication of this work of particular importance for Albanian historiography and Balkan studies. He emphasized that this publication represents a valuable scientific contribution to shedding light on the political and diplomatic developments of the time, bringing important facts, analyses, and perspectives regarding the relations between the Albanian and Macedonian national-revolutionary movements and Soviet diplomacy of that era.

The promotion event was held at the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Tetova, where professors, researchers, students, and numerous guests from academic and public life attended. In his speech, the Dean, Kushtrim Ahmeti, emphasized that this book examines the influence of illegal Soviet diplomacy on the Albanian and Macedonian revolutionary movements during the years 1922–1928, as well as the political developments that characterized the Balkans during that historical period. He further stated that the book is based on archival documents and regional and international historical sources, presenting documents and data that are being published for the first time and that shed light on important historical and political episodes of the era.

As part of the promotional panel, the reviewers Zeqirja Rexhepi and Katarina Todorovska spoke about the work, evaluating the study’s contribution to enriching Albanian historiography and contemporary studies on political and diplomatic relations in the Balkans.

Meanwhile, the author Mehmet Prishtina spoke about the motivation, content, and process behind the writing of the book, emphasizing the importance of a documented treatment of the historical developments of this period.

In the discussion and commentary session, Astrit Memia, Arben Çejku, and Lenina Zhilla Popovska also took part, sharing their assessments regarding the academic and historical importance of this work.
