At the University of Tetova, today were held two information sessions by the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility, who presented the opportunities offered by the European Commission mobility program for students and academic staff Erasmus +.
Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of Tetova, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shefik Shehu, at the beginning of the session, expressed gratitude to the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility for the continuous support they provide to students and academic staff through the Erasmus + Programme. He further added that the mission of each university is to challenge and open the minds of each student, the worldviews we came from, starting from Prior education, region, family and thus open new horizons. “You have to question the previous worldviews you had, critically analyzed and see if I did well, have we lived well and how should we move forward. We are in a good way, we have students who are immensely prepared to face new challenges, immensely prepared to enter any society, from whatever country it may be. We will prove to all of us that we have students who are extremely prepared to come out, break new horizons and bring their experiences back to our country, enrich both the academic experience but also our social life and to bring about a more progressive change to all of us, starting from ourselves to others. Erasmus + Programme offers all these opportunities, while ours remains to follow the guidelines, apply and be part of the mobility”, – said Asst. Prof. Dr. Shefik Shehu.
The representative of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility in our country, Astrit Rexhepi, said that these sessions are conducted in order to closely inform students and academic staff for the Erasmus +Programme 2021 – 2027 financial framework, as the budget is alleged to be doubled or tripled by the European Commission decision and we must be timely prepared to have the absorption capacity to use these tools and not to bring them back. “I am very happy with the cooperation we have with the University of Tetova, the mobility offered by the National Agency are realized 100% in the last two years and over than 90% in 2015, 2016, while this gives us a positive signal that the University of Tetova has the capacity to make use of grants from the Erasmus + program. For 2019, we have offered to the University of Tetova a total of 60 mobiles, which shows that our cooperation with this institution deepens for the sake of performance that has shown in the past, and the University of Tetova is currently the only university in our country that has enabled a student with disabilities to move into mobility and for that I am very grateful to UT and Mrs. Shpresa Ademi from the Office for International Relations, that it makes it impossible that this mobility to be realized”, said Astrit Rexhepi.
During these sessions spoke also the students Dijedona Murtishi and Eliza Musli, about the most important challenges, experiences and events during their stay in mobility that have made their experience possible through Erasmus + Programme. On this occasion, medical student Dijedona Murtishi spoke about her professional experiences while staying in Ankara, the energetic excursion with the “Eastern Express”, over than 56 hours by train, premiere of a much-loved Turkish film for Albanians, new societies and participation in multidisciplinary conferences. Whereas Eliza Musli, a student of the study program of tourism, beneficiary of this program, spoke about the 10 things that every student should consider in order to get a new atmosphere.
