Faculty of Agriculture and Biotechnology of the University of Tetova marked World Earth Day, an event of global importance aimed at raising awareness about environmental protection and the management of natural resources. Soil, as a fundamental natural resource and a key factor in agricultural production, forms the basis of development and food security.
As part of this day, a study visit was organized in the Republic of Kosovo, where students had the opportunity to visit several companies and agricultural farms specialized in modern production and cultivation.
During this professional experience, the students became familiar with contemporary methods of organizing and managing agricultural enterprises, as well as with the application of advanced technologies in the cultivation of blueberries and various vegetable crops. They also had the opportunity to exchange opinions, ideas, and experiences with professionals in the field, gaining valuable practical knowledge.
It was particularly impressive that in these enterprises and farms, the activities were led by young agronomists with high professional qualifications and a strong dedication to their work, demonstrating a new generation capable of leading the development of the agricultural sector. This experience reinforces the belief that agriculture is increasingly moving toward modern forms of production, enhancing productivity and ensuring high-quality, safe, and sufficient food products for the market.
