On the occasion of June 1 – International Children’s Day, the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Tetova organized the educational and artistic event “Let’s Dream Together”, welcoming fifth-grade pupils from primary schools in the Municipality of Tetovo. The event created an inspiring environment in which children expressed their creativity, developed collaborative skills, and experienced the values of education through play, art, and communication.

The program opened with a welcoming address by the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Lulzim Mehmedi, who emphasized that International Children’s Day serves as an important reminder that children are the most valuable asset of our society. He underlined that investing in their education, well-being, and development represents a direct investment in the country’s future. According to him, the activities organized on this day promote essential values such as friendship, respect, creativity, and teamwork—values that form the foundation for the development of every individual and society as a whole.

Dean also emphasized that the Faculty of Pedagogy remains committed to preparing future teachers and educators who will guide new generations toward knowledge, human values, and active citizenship.

The central part of the program was the creative competition “Let’s Build the Tallest Tower”, where students worked in groups and demonstrated that success is not measured only by the final result, but also by the process of cooperation, communication, respect, and mutual support. Through this activity, the children developed important social and organizational skills, learning the value of teamwork.

The atmosphere was further enriched by a stage performance prepared by students of the Faculty of Pedagogy who delivered educational and entertaining messages to the participants.

Those present also had the opportunity to listen to the artist Bahar Nesimi, who spoke about the importance of drama in child development. He emphasized that dramatic activities help children express emotions, develop creativity and imagination, as well as strengthen their self-confidence and communication skills.

One of the most special moments of the event was the “Wall of Wishes,” where children, through their drawings and messages, expressed their dreams, hopes, and visions for a better world. This symbolic corner became a space of inspiration, highlighting the voices and imagination of the children.

Subsequently, the participants were addressed with a welcoming speech by the Vice-Dean for Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Besa Havziu Ismaili, who emphasized the importance of listening to children, providing them with continuous support, and trusting in the unique potential that each of them carries. She highlighted that creating opportunities for the full development of children is a shared responsibility of educational institutions, families, and society.

The festive atmosphere was crowned with a ballet performance by the “Tutu” ballet club, which brought emotion, elegance, and joy to all those present.

At the conclusion of the event, certificates of appreciation were awarded to participating schools, collaborators, and all contributors who made this special day dedicated to children possible.

Through such events, the Faculty of Pedagogy continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting values for children, quality education, and creating opportunities for every child to dream, create, and develop to their full potential, thereby building a better future for all.
