University of Tetova marked one of the most significant events of the academic year, the Graduation Celebration 2026, a ceremony dedicated to students who successfully completed their university studies. In the presence of the University’s leadership, professors, parents, family members, and guests, the graduates celebrated the completion of an important stage of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their professional lives.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the attendees were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, who spoke about the importance of higher education, international cooperation, and the responsibility that every graduate bears in shaping the future of society. “University of Tetova, as a cherished institution, represents the fulfillment of generations’ dream for cultural and civilizational enlightenment. It is the most significant project of Albanians in North Macedonia and beyond. It stands as a symbol of cultural, scientific, and national progress. Therefore, dear students, be proud to be part of the University of Tetova, and wherever you go, always speak of it with respect and admiration. By respecting the institution where you study and graduate, you will earn respect in the professions you pursue. Those who fail to value themselves are rarely valued by others. You possess the moral, cultural, and intellectual capital to become the driving force behind the progress of society and the nation. The University of Tetova will always be your university. It looks forward to seeing you uphold and honor its name wherever you live and wherever your careers may take you”,- said, among other things, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi

On behalf of the graduates, Leart Ibrahimi, a student from the Faculty of Medicine, delivered a keynote address, expressing the graduates’ gratitude to the University of Tetova, their professors, and their families. “On behalf of all the students, we extend our deepest gratitude to our University—the institution that opened the doors to knowledge, shaped us into professionals and responsible citizens, and prepared us for the challenges of life. Here, we gained knowledge, built our character, formed friendships that will last a lifetime, and learned that success is achieved not only through talent, but also through discipline, dedication, and responsibility,” emphasized the outstanding student, Leart Ibrahimi.

Meanwhile, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies, emphasizing that this day marks not the end of their journey, but the beginning of a new responsibility. “We have gathered here not only to celebrate the completion of your university studies, but also to mark the beginning of a new chapter in your lives. This is a moment of pride for you, your families, and everyone who has believed in your potential and your dreams”, said the Rector.

He emphasized that the University of Tetova remains committed to educating highly qualified professionals and citizens of integrity, underscoring that society places great expectations on the new generation of graduates.”Among you are the doctors who will care for people’s lives, the lawyers who will uphold justice, the economists who will drive economic development, the engineers who will create the technologies of tomorrow, the teachers and educators who will inspire future generations, the artists who will enrich our culture, and the athletes who will represent our country with dignity. Each of you carries the responsibility of making a meaningful contribution to your profession and to the society you will serve”, emphasized the Rector of the University of Tetova.

Addressing the parents, he expressed his gratitude for their trust and continuous support, recognizing that their sacrifices have been an inseparable part of every student’s success. The ceremony concluded with the song “Tetovë – Tiranë”, performed by Professor Bajramali Idrizi and the renowned tenor Kastriot Tusha. Through its lyrics and emotional interpretation, the song conveyed a sense of national belonging, love for Albanian lands, and an unbreakable spiritual connection.
