Today, the official handover ceremony for the position of Rector was held at the University of Tetova, during which the outgoing Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, transferred the leadership of the institution to the newly elected Rector for the 2026–2029 term, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti.
The handover ceremony was held in the presence of the Chair of the University Electoral Commission, Vice-Rectors, Deans of academic units, University Senators, the Secretary General, as well as representatives of the university administration, reflecting the institutional spirit and continuity of academic governance.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli wished Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti success in carrying out his new duties, emphasizing the importance of continuing institutional development, advancing the quality of higher education, strengthening scientific research, and furthering the internationalization of the University.
Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by the academic community and thanked Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli for his contribution during his leadership of the University of Tetova. He emphasized that he will work to advance the University’s mission and vision, focusing on academic quality, innovation, digital transformation, and the expansion of international cooperation.
The ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere, marking a smooth institutional transition and the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of the University of Tetova.
