Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, participated in the Security Conference held in Skopje, organized in cooperation between the University of Tetova and “St. Clement of Ohrid” University – Bitola.

The conference brought together representatives of state institutions, ambassadors and diplomats, university professors, researchers, security experts, as well as students, with the aim of addressing contemporary security challenges at the national, regional, and international levels.

In his welcoming address, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, emphasized the importance of organizing joint academic platforms for discussing security-related issues at a time when the international environment is characterized by growing uncertainty, geopolitical rivalries, ongoing conflicts, hybrid threats, cyberattacks, mass migration, and new challenges to the international order.

He highlighted that security today is no longer solely an institutional or academic matter, but rather an essential dimension of the development, stability, and prosperity of modern societies. He also underlined the importance of inter-university and inter-institutional cooperation in building effective security mechanisms.

Within the framework of the conference, the importance of cooperation between the two public universities of the country, the University of Tetova and “St. Clement of Ohrid” University – Bitola, was also emphasized as a testament to the commitment of academic institutions to advancing knowledge and promoting a culture of dialogue, mutual understanding, and security.

During the conference sessions, participants delivered presentations and engaged in professional discussions on emerging security challenges, exchanging ideas, analyses, and concrete recommendations for strengthening national, regional, and European security.

The conference was recognized as an important opportunity for building bridges of cooperation between academia, institutions, and the expert community, with the aim of addressing the complex security challenges of the 21st century.
