University of Tetova, as part of its commitment to promoting scientific activity and strengthening cooperation with relevant institutions, is participating in the 10th edition of the Ohrid School of Natural Law, which is being held in Ohrid from 5–11 July 2026.

The event is organized by the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MASA), within the framework of the regional initiative “Strengthening Access to Justice through Free Legal Aid”. It brings together university professors, researchers, experts, legal practitioners, and students from the country and the region to discuss topics of particular importance in the fields of natural law, human rights, and effective access to justice.

The University of Tetova is represented at this event by professors and students from the Faculty of Law, who contribute to the scientific program through presentations and discussions reflecting the institution’s academic and professional commitment.

As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Afrim Osmani delivered a lecture on the topic: “Access to Environmental Justice through Free Legal Aid”, addressing the importance of ensuring legal protection in environmental matters, the role of free legal aid in the realization of citizens’ rights, and the institutional challenges in securing effective access to justice.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Afet Mamuti presented the topic: “Access to Justice for Vulnerable Families through Free Legal Aid: Challenges and Perspectives in Family Law Disputes”, focusing on the importance of legal support for those in need, the challenges in implementing legislation, and the necessity of strengthening institutional mechanisms that ensure equal and effective access to justice.

The participation of professors and students from the Faculty of Law in this international forum confirms the University of Tetova’s commitment to advancing the quality of higher education, developing scientific research, internationalizing academic activities, and promoting the values of the rule of law, justice, and human rights.
