University of Tetova and the Ministry of Local Self-Government of the Republic of North Macedonia today signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening institutional partnership and advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The memorandum was signed by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Jusuf Zejneli, and the Minister of Local Self-Government, Zlatko Perinski, establishing a framework for long-term cooperation between the two institutions.
The purpose of this memorandum is to create a partnership that will enable the use of scientific, professional, and institutional resources, as well as the development of cooperation with the Resource Center for the support of municipalities.
Within the framework of the agreement, the parties agreed to exchange experiences and information, develop capacities through trainings, seminars, and workshops, and provide scientific and professional support from university experts for local self-government units. The agreement also foresees the involvement of students and experts in the activities of the Resource Center, the exchange of best practices, and joint participation in domestic and international projects.
Special emphasis is also placed on supporting the processes of digitalization and modernization of services, as well as the joint organization of conferences, seminars, and other professional and scientific activities.
The signatory parties will coordinate their activities for joint representation both within the country and abroad, while separate agreements will be concluded for the concrete implementation of projects.
The memorandum was signed in Skopje and enters into force from the day of signing, while remaining valid for an indefinite period, with the possibility of amendment or termination in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
This cooperation is expected to contribute to strengthening the connection between higher education and public institutions, creating new opportunities for local development and the advancement of institutional capacities.
