Following the conclusion of their many years of academic service, Prof. Dr. Zeqirja Idrizi, Prof. Dr. Abdylnaser Sinani, Prof. Dr. Mixhait Pollozhani, Prof. Dr. Fatmir Sulejmani, Prof. Dr. Elmi Jusufi, Prof. Dr. Jasna Teofillovska, and Prof. Dr. Shazim Memedi were honored by the University of Tetova at a special gathering held in recognition of their valuable contributions to the overall development and advancement of the University of Tetova. At the beginning of the event, the professors were welcomed at the Rectorate by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti; the Vice-Rector for Education, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti; and the Secretary General, Mr. Adem Beadini.

On this occasion, the University’s leadership expressed their deep appreciation for the professors’ years of work, commitment, and dedication, recognizing their important role in consolidating and developing the University of Tetova as an institution of higher education in the Albanian language in our country.

The second part of the gathering took place at the “Memory Corner” of the Faculty of Philosophy, a special space dedicated to preserving and promoting the institutional memory of the faculty. The corner features portraits of the deans who have served over the years, as well as a portrait of the founder and historic Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani.

Rector and Vice-Rector highlighted the contributions of Prof. Dr. Zeqirja Idrizi and Prof. Dr. Abdylnaser Sinani to the University’s educational and scientific activities, emphasizing that their work and dedication have left a significant mark on the history and development of the institution. Attention was given to the University of Tetova’s early years, when Prof. Dr. Zeqirja Idrizi led the Faculty of Philosophy with determination and success, making an important contribution to its institutional and academic consolidation. The commitment of Prof. Dr. Abdylnaser Sinani and his contribution to the effective functioning and development of this academic unit were also highly recognized.

Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Ibish Kadriu, emphasized that the event was an expression of institutional appreciation for the contributions of the two professors to the establishment, consolidation, and advancement of the Faculty of Philosophy to the level it has reached today. He recalled memories of the faculty’s early years and highlighted the numerous challenges, tireless work, and shared achievements that have characterized its journey.

Appreciation for the academic and institutional work of Prof. Dr. Zeqirja Idrizi and Prof. Dr. Abdylnaser Sinani was also expressed by former Dean Prof. Fadbi Osmani and Prof. Dr. Reshat Qahili, who highlighted their many years of contribution and the role they have played in the academic life of the Faculty of Philosophy and the University of Tetova.

As a gesture of respect and gratitude for their work, the Rector and the Trade Union of Employees of the University of Tetova presented the professors with Certificates of Appreciation and a symbolic gift. The President of the Trade Union, Prof. Dr. Shefket Dehari, emphasized that honoring professors upon their retirement should become an institutional tradition through which the University expresses its respect and gratitude to the generations of academic staff who have contributed to building and strengthening the institution.

The gathering was a tribute to an important chapter in the academic careers of our professors, while at the same time serving as a testament to the institution’s respect for the generations of academics who, through their knowledge, work, and dedication, have helped build the history of the University of Tetova.
