University of Tetova continues to strengthen its commitment to creating a more inclusive and accessible education system for all children. On October 6, 2026, the Agreement for the continuation and advancement of the project “Strengthening the Inclusion of Children with Special Educational Needs”, supported by the Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation, was signed at the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy.
The agreement marks the beginning of the third phase of the project, which will be implemented during the 2026–2028 period. It involves the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova, in cooperation with the Macedonian Civic Education Center.
The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Ibish Kadriu; the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi; and the Executive Director of the Macedonian Civic Education Center, Besnik Ramadani.
The new project aims to introduce an even more practical dimension to the process of inclusive education. The focus will be on children with special educational needs, professors, students, and schools, with the aim of creating better opportunities for inclusion, support, and development.
An important component of the project will be the development and testing of assistive technology solutions designed to facilitate the learning process and create greater opportunities for children’s active participation in education.
At the same time, students at the University of Tetova will have the opportunity to become directly involved in activities at the participating schools. This will enable them to translate the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies into practical professional experience, better preparing them for the challenges of working with children with special educational needs.
With the new phase of the project, the University of Tetova and its partners aim to further translate this principle into practice, support, and concrete opportunities for children with special educational needs.
