National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility at the premises of the University of Tetova organized a roundtable on the topic of: “Strengthening the cooperation between higher education institutions and non-governmental organizations in increasing the number of mobility of students with disabilities and with fewer opportunities”.
The aim of this roundtable is to strengthen the cooperation of higher institutions with organizations who work with disabled people and people with fewer opportunities.
According to the representative of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility, Astrit Rexhepi, the only aim of this roundtable was to increase the student mobility, which is in the Erasmus+ program. “The number of students with special needs and with fewer opportunities should increase in the future and be part of Erasmus + mobility”- said Astrit Rexhepi.
On the other hand, vice-dean for education at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Buniamin Memedi, welcomed this cooperation initiative between non-governmental organizations and our University, although as a practice it has always existed. “We have always applied this practice, especially with students of Special Education and Rehabilitation and other students. We have had students who have cooperated with non-governmental organizations, but have been part of the Erasmus+ program. This initiative only strengthens a cooperation, an understanding and trust of good practices” – said Prof. Dr. Buniamin Memedi.
Panelists of this roundtable also discussed on the role of higher-education institutions in increasing the mobility of disabled students and students with fewer opportunities.
