On 23 April 2019 (Tuesday) at the auditorium of the University of Tetova, the traditional manifestation “Macedonian evening” was held for the fifth time in a row, organized by students and some professors of the Macedonian Language and Literature Study Program.
The slogan of this year’s manifestation was: “Language is entertaining, poetry is eternal”. This year also marked a small jubilee. Although it is a modest manifestation, the generation of students of the Macedonian Language and Literature Study Program with great love and dedication prepared this manifestation program with the support of their professors.
In these five years, the manifestation “Macedonian evening” has performed a series of activities for marking events and commemorating important personalities for the development of the Macedonian language and literature, by reciting many verses and singing songs in Macedonian, Albanian and Turkish language, and by presenting some parts of Macedonian drama plays, as well as sketch comedies.
In this event, students had the opportunity to fully express their creativity, not only as performers, but also as authors, poets and writers, who slowly but successfully take the first steps in the field of literature. The program of this event also included the anniversary of three great poets such as Matea Matevski, Gane Todorovski and Petre M. Andreevski, who wrote the most beautiful verses of Macedonian poetry, promoting it almost in all the meridians of the world.
This evening was also enriched by selected songs interpreted by the students of the Macedonian Language and Literature Study Program and the group “Sherbet”.
This year’s “Macedonian evening ” was attended by many invited guests, representatives of the University’s Rectorate, deans and professors of UT, teachers and pupils from primary and secondary schools in Tetova, representatives of the Macedonian Language Institute ” Krste Misirkov “from Skopje, representatives from the International University” Vizion “from Gostivar, as well as many friends and supporters of this event.
