Students of the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition at the University of Tetova conducted a study visit on May 13, 2026, to the “Vita” dairy company and the beverage production facilities in Istog, Republic of Kosovo.
The visit was organized as part of the faculty’s practical activities, offering students the opportunity to become familiar with the functioning of technological processes in the dairy processing industry.
During their stay at the company, the students and academic staff followed all stages of the production process, from the reception of raw materials, technological processing, and thermal treatment, to the packaging and distribution of final products. Special attention was given to the processes of pasteurization, homogenization, fermentation, and laboratory analyses for quality control and food safety.
The students also had the opportunity to observe the operation of modern production lines, the use of automated control and monitoring systems, as well as the standards applied to ensure quality in the modern food industry.
The visit was conducted under the guidance of the staff of the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition, who provided professional orientation to the students and contributed to deepening their knowledge regarding the practical application of academic coursework in the industrial sector.
Representatives of the “Vita” dairy company and Devolli Corporation presented to the students the organization of production processes, technological standards, and the importance of innovation in the development of the food industry, while also emphasizing the need for professionally trained personnel in accordance with market demands.
This study visit demonstrated the importance of cooperation between higher education institutions and the industrial sector, as a concrete opportunity for the professional preparation of students.
