From 2-4 of May, 2019, the students of the Geography Study Program from the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences of the University of Tetova, successfully completed the scientific expedition in various Albanian regions. During this expedition, the students visited the bifurcation of the Nerodime River, the Cave of Gadime, the Mirusha Waterfall in Peja and the Geography Department of the University of Prishtina.
On the second day, they visited the spring of the Drini i Bardhë River, Rozhaja, Plava, Podgorica, Tuzi and Shkodra. On the third day of the study visit, the students initially visited the Department of Geography of the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”, then the Rozafa Castle, Velipoja, the Memorial Museum of Gjergj Kastriot – Scanderbeg in Lezha, and concluded this expedition with the visit of several historical monuments in the city of Prizren.
In this expedition, the students were accompanied by their professors, the head of the Department of Geography, Prof. Dr. Resul Hamiti, Prof. Dr. Fauzi Skenderi, Prof. Dr. Zija Zimeri, Ass. prof. Meribe Mustafi, Ass. Mireme Rushiti and Ass. Blerta Veseli.
The professors were very pleased with the interest shown by the students in this expedition, concluding that the primary purpose of this study visit was successfully achieved and that all the objectives that are foreseen in the Geography Study Program are fulfilled.
