Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics organizes undergraduate studies in eight study programs, which last four years, while the student accumulates a total of 240 credits.

This faculty conducts educational, scientific-research, applied and publishing activities in the field of biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computing, geography and ecology.

Mathematics presents a science that correlates with the technical sciences and physics, but recently it is evident that it penetrates in economics, medicine, information technology and other sciences. Master cycle of studies enables the graduated students in mathematics to enhance their acquired knowledge through scientific-research work.

Informatics or Information technology represents an integral part of modern development of society as well as other sciences. Basic computer studies include comprehensive knowledge on software and hardware, as well as the use of computer for various purposes: running of processes, data processing, information management, intelligent computer systems processing etc.

Physics is a challenge for new clever high school graduates, because it explains the mutual interactions between the smallest particles and secrets of celestial bodies, in a word it studies the interrelation of matter and energy. The second cycle lasts one year and has 60 ECTS credits.

Chemistry represents the core of modern sciences, technology and medicine. The object of study of chemistry is matter and its chemical conglomerate. In modern life, particularly in the production and protein synthesis, chemistry has extremely important role. Chemistry graduates will be employed in scientific-research areas, education, laboratory research, biotechnology industry, public health, pharmacy, petrochemical industry, etc.

Dichotomous content of Physics & Chemistry study program enables the students to gain the knowledge and competences to work in educational process respectively do get engaged in the educational process either in primary or secondary schools.

Biology studies are conceived on the bases of the principle of learning and enhanced competences on biological sciences, which will enable the graduate biologists’ inclusion in the educational process as well as other institutions. Successful students can continue their studies in the second cycle or Master studies that last 2 semesters and provide 60 ECTS credits.

Ecology, as one of the contemporary sciences that studies the environment, today is treated as an inter-disciplinary science. It studies and provides solutions for problems in the field of environmental preservation, spatial planning, natural sciences, technical sciences and biotechnical sciences. The ecology also faces global challenges, such as global warming and pollution of the planet Earth. Master studies last one year and offer 60 credits.

Geography basic studies last four years and provide 240 credits, and the teacher of geography or geography graduate is allowed to pursue the second cycle studies or master studies which last two semesters and offer 60 credits. Besides the educational work, the geography graduate can work in social and spatial planning, urban planning, environmental preservation, multidisciplinary studies etc.
